  • Washing houses, including siding, decks, windows,
  • Cement/concrete cleaning and masonry restoration
  • Degreasing kitchen/cooking areas, manufacturing equipment, industrial machines

  • Removal of graffiti
  • Stripping paint and clear coat

Why Do I Need Special Pressure Washing Chemicals?

Using chemicals for professional cleaning can be more effective and leave you at less risk of damage because you don’t have to rely on the pressure of the water to do ALL the work. So how do you choose which chemicals to use? Always look for a SDS (Safety Data Sheet) for chemical information. Find the pH of the product on the sheet, or look at the list of ingredients and see if it contains what you need for your job.

  • ACIDS (about 1-6 on the pH scale) – Used to remove heavy oxide, salts, metal particles, rust. Common acidic chemicals used in pressure washing: oxalic acid, citric acid, hydrofluoric acid.
  • NEUTRALS (7 or very close to 7 on the pH scale) – Used to clean light oils, light dirt/soil particulates, small solid particles. Common neutral chemicals used in pressure washing: water, ethanolamine, SDBS (sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate).
  • BASE/ALKALINE (about 8-14 on the pH scale) – Used to remove heavy oils, grease, fats, proteins, and heavy soil buildup. Common alkaline chemicals used in pressure washing:  bleach, ammonia, sodium hypochlorite, sodium hydroxide.

Tip: If you buy concentrated products, make sure to find the dilution rate so you can add the proper amount of water for effective cleaning!

How Much Do You Need?

A selection of sizes is also important to professional pressure washers so they can purchase only the small amount they need, or get volume discount if they plan to use a lot of product. For example, we sell single gallon jugs, 5-gallon buckets, 30-gallon drums, and 55-gallon drums. We have a range of sizes to serve a variety of pressure washing business types!
