If you're looking for a 100 gal propane tank size, this is the right choice for you. 100 gallons refers to the actual number of gallons of propane the tank can hold, and 120 gallons refers to the total water capacity of the tank. This type of tank is also known as a 420 lb. tank, which refers to the number of pounds of propane the tank will hold when filled to 80 percent. A twin stage regulator is necessary for tank usage at a safe, working pressure. Propane is odorless, but an odorant is added to it so that it will give off a smell if it's leaking. • Still under factory vacuum seal, must have local propane provider fill the tank for the first time.
• First fill requires propane provider to break the suction seal by filling the POL valve with Methanol. After that it can be filled through the ACME fill valve.
