Frequently Asked Questions

Question:My self serve bay has 2 Cat 310 pumps, and 3 bays of wash liquids. I believe I am having trouble with the pressure reducing valve, because the flow is so great through my pumps that the water coming in goes through the solenoids including the weep solenoid and backflows into the tanks. My current valve is a Honeywell Braukman PN25 D07-1. I don't think this one will work, it's 3/4" and I need 1". But anyway, what is the normal operating pressure for a wash of this configuration? The local water company says their pressure in the lines in that area is 60-65 lbs. Thanks. - Don (02/17/2020)
Response:Yes, usually typical inlet pressure is around 45-60 PSI.
