Product Description

Steel Pressure Gauge Installation Device for 1/4" Gauges

The MTM Hydro 24.0101 pressure gauge fitting is a stainless steel device that allows you to install a pressure gauge at a pump or spray gun. It has a 3/8" quick-connect coupler, a 3/8" quick-connect plug, and a 1/4" central port to install a pressure gauge. 6000 PSI maximum pressure rating.

Once installed, the MTM Hydro 24.0101 gauge measures the running pressure when a spray gun is released or engaged. Pressure gauges that are mounted on a pump only provide a "pressure-at-the-pump" rating. Being able to mount a pressure gauge further downstream provides a better understanding of the actual pressure levels being achieved in your system. Pressure spiking and decreasing can cause inconsistent spraying and damage equipment.

Details and Specifications:

  • 6000 PSI maximum pressure rating
  • Stainless steel construction
  • 1/4" central gauge port
  • 3/8" QC coupler x 3/8" QC plug

Pressure Gauge Fitting Usage and Placement:

Use your assembled gauge to measure baseline PSI and compare against baseline at later dates for accuracy. Most commonly, the gauges are found in two places:

1. A fixed location immediately following the pump or unloader to measure "Pressure at the Pump."

  • See Figure 1 in alternate images
  • Catches pressure spikes
  • Alerts of cavitation in pump that you may not hear or feel - Needle on gauge will bounce and appear to be trembling

2. A Temporary position at the base of the Spray gun for intermittent checking of pressure to ensure your nozzle does not need to be replaced.

  • See Figure 2 in alternate images
  • Catches pressure spikes
  • Informs user of the most accurate PSI as water leaves the system
  • If pressure drops over time, user can compare to baseline PSI and take appropriate action
