Install this reducer bushing to switch from a 1/2-inch smooth pipe to a 1/4-inch FNPT piping. It features a Schedule 80 PVC construction and 1/2" spigot x 1/4" FNPT connections. Used for many applications thanks to its corrosion resistance and strength.

Note: We do not recommend using PVC piping for systems transporting compressed air or gases. Plus, we don't recommend testing PVC products with compressed air or gases.

Spears model 838-072 is a pipe-reducing bushing made with Schedule 80 PVC because this type of PVC has thicker walls making it great for commercial and industrial applications. PVC is corrosion-resistant and won't rust, pit, or scale, ensuring fluid flow is unobstructed. You can use this bushing for chemical processing, industrial plating, chilled water distribution, deionized water lines, chemical drainage, wastewater treatment systems, and car wash water and chemical transportation. This bushing allows you to reduce pipe size from 1/2 inch smooth pipe to 1/4 inch in diameter threaded pipe. It is designed with a 1/2" spigot and a 1/4-inch FNPT connection.
